About the Role
We are looking for a Software QA Engineer who is passionate about our mission and is ready to take responsibility for the quality of products that can save people's lives. The perfect match for this role should understand the complexity and high stakes of working on medical-grade devices where ensuring the job is done right the first time is of utmost importance.
Quality is at the core of Empatica; as a Software QA Engineer, you will help design and execute manual and automatic tests to ensure that new features are correctly implemented according to design and specifications.
Your contribution to the mission
Hunt down all the bugs with your QA logic mindset! Assess and ensure the quality level of every new release of our apps. Perform tests on mobile platforms connected to a wireless wearable device, with the mindset of our end-user. Expect to find problems, and propose solutions, not just to verify that everything is working as designed. Design, implement, and extend automation test scenarios for mobile phones and wearable devices. Validate every functionality of the product; you'll have the chance to learn how a state-of-the-art medical device works inside and out. Report issues and anomalies. Try to recreate failure scenarios and collect as much information as possible about the issue. Perform regression tests whenever a new release comes addressing issues or adding new features. Work with the product team to design, execute, and enhance release and testing plans. Support the growth and consolidation of the Quality culture within Empatica. Some important details:
