Gorgonzola hosts the Navigations Air Systems (NAS) domain, focusing on avionics, navigation, and radar systems for civil air traffic and technologies supporting the activities of civilian and military pilots, ATC controllers, and technicians of several airlines, air traffic control agencies, and Air Force around the world.

Italy is the Group's Competence center for the design, production, and delivery of Navigation Aids products and Competence Centre for the delivery of non-Radar Surveillance Products.

If you are looking for new opportunities in a high-skilled multicultural team, we are now looking for a Software Solution Engineer to join our Software team in Gorgonzola.

PROFILE: You are a graduate with a bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science with at least 10-15 years of experience in Software Development.

You are customer-focused, resourceful, innovative, and creative with strong communication skills.

You are analytical, structured, and enjoy thinking outside the box.

You will have the opportunity to join our SW design community working in an Agile Scrum team of SW developers.

You will be accountable for the definition of requirements, the design of SW architecture, coding, and testing of Software running on our equipment.

The development will be done in compliance with our rigorous aerospace standards but also tailored to our challenging schedules.

You will be part of our international cross-functional team that includes project managers, system engineers, HW-ME designers, Project Engineering, Quality Assurance, and manufacturing operations.

COMPETENCIES:Passion for coding, technologies, and shipping features that bring innovation.

Experience in leading the design, development, and deployment of software solutions. Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Experience improving quality through thoughtful code review, appropriate testing, proper rollout, monitoring, and proactive changes. Solid know-how of the Linux operating system. Experience with embedded RTOS systems and Yocto distributions. Strong C/C++ and scripting languages (Python/Bash) skills. Extended know-how regarding TCP/IP networking and the corresponding low-level APIs.

You also potentially have a background in Linux network configuration. Familiar with cybersecurity principles, network protocols, and familiarity with networking components. Experience with distributed version control systems.

Experience with network debug and testing tools (Wireshark). Experience with test automation frameworks (Jenkins). High level of responsibility, ownership, and accountability. Good verbal and written communication skills. Expertise in requirement management.

NICE TO HAVE:Experience with Bootloader or Kernel would be beneficial. Experience with software packaging using the RedHat Package Manager. Familiar with Linux containers (Docker, LXC, OpenShift, or Kubernetes). Experience working on complex, multi-threaded application architectures. Familiar with the SNMP protocol. Familiar with basic tools deployed in our infrastructure: DOORs, Jira. Familiar with build automation systems (Jenkins) and automation testing.
