The Symani platform provides the surgeon with the capability to operate on a small scale with ease and precision, thanks to the Symani platform and a variety of instrument types.

The Software Test Engineer will perform SW Tool Tests, Performance Test, SW Build Test, and Integration tests on a novel robot for microsurgery.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a high-caliber multidisciplinary team to document test protocols and troubleshooting guides as well as perform acceptance testing.

Role & Responsibilities Perform SW build tests at every release;Test functional performance of completed assemblies or subassemblies using established procedures and test protocols;Document test procedures and process validation for medical devices and associated tools used for V&V and installation;Develop modular test scripts to automate test data collection and analysis;Operate and set up test equipment and fixtures;Architect test strategy for a complex medical robotics system developing testing protocols;Troubleshoot failures to module or component level assemblies.

Clearly document the issues and communicate them to Integration Engineers;Lead test procedures, supporting subsystem and system testing activities;Implement test program updates;Create/use standard formats and document templates to generate clear and concise content. Requirements: Computer Science, Electronics, or similar Engineering Degree;Comprehension in reading technical writing;Ability to understand system interconnect diagrams and test procedures;Able to run SW, dedicated tools, and write simple code to extract data or plots;Experience with tools and programs such as Python and Matlab;LabVIEW knowledge is considered a plus;Interdisciplinary understanding of robotics, electronics, software, and control;Professional written and spoken English. About MMI MMI is dedicated to improving reconstructive options for surgeons and patients and has developed the first teleoperated robotic platform for open microsurgery.

It offers the surgeon motion scaling and tremor elimination and aims to facilitate existing procedures as well as enable new ones in the domain of microsurgery, from post-oncological and trauma reconstructions to ophthalmology, organ transplantation, and pediatric surgery.
