Your job as Software Test Engineer As a Software Test Engineer within TOPIC you will be working on solutions that fit into (big scaled) high-tech systems. The team works partially at our head office in Best, partially from the customer location and partially remote.

The tasks are diverse and can involve development of software interfaces that provide communication and data transfer between software components, implementation of algorithms, driver development, implementing solutions for software issues, development of applications with a graphical UI interface and testing using GMock, simulated environment and test automation.

Your tasks and responsibilities Write software (C++, C, Python) for objective, reproducible and maintainable automated tests and development of tools for qualification and integration;Explore different solution approaches to achieve the best result;Design, implement and optimize chosen solutions;Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in an international, multidisciplinary, and Agile environment;Review code and mentor (junior) engineers;Share your expertise to elevate the team, quality, and processes;Advisor and sparring partner for customers and stakeholders and inspiring others to strive for quality. Job requirements A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems or similar;At least 5 years of experience in software development with Python and C/C++ in the high-tech domain;Experience with software testing for complex embedded systems;Preferably experience with end-to-end test automation, continuous integration and setting up and maintaining ROBOT test framework;You are a team player, solution-oriented, and proactive;Motivation to continuously improve yourself and develop new skills;A good command of English or Afrikaans.
