**The Role
The Soho Friends Membership Manager for Rome is responsible for directly growing the Soho Friends membership and creating a community within Rome and local to San Lorenzo Studio.
Their main goal is to build a strong membership base in and around the Studio while getting to know the community at large.
They provide Soho Friends members with a direct face to face contact in our spaces while at the same time working collaboratively with our members and local creative businesses to ensure the Studio is a vibrant, buzzy, fun place to be.
They proactively secure opportunities to partner with members in fun and interesting ways.
They take time to be present in the Studios whether that's meeting members, talking to guests or working with operations to set up and host events.
The Rome Soho Friends Membership manager will report into the HMC with a dotted line into the European Friends Membership Manager.
A successful Soho Friends Membership Manager will build strong relationships with the operations team, comms, membership and events teams to ensure smooth running of our space and our events.
Soho Friends membership manager will regularly meet with the, Events Coordinator, Hosts and are in constant contact with the Soho Friends membership team including Rina and Esther.
Together they will build a strong, successful membership and more than that they will create Studio that is alive with creativity and energy.
**Main Duties
- Membership - 70%_
- Discover and build relationships with local creative businesses in the area to build the membership base and be a source for events, collabs etc
- Developing and implementing a strategic outreach plan by identifying target audiences within specific industries and communities
- Noticing opportunities and taking action on tasks
- Engage in the local creative scene, attending events, parties, launches etc.
to develop contacts, net
- work and build awareness about the Studio its facilities, your role and how new contacts might join Soho Friends
- An essential part of the job is being available on a flexible rota and being willing to work outside "office hours".
For example, nights, weekends and holidays (as needed and when applicable and as per previously communicated rota).
- Create meetings/socials for local creative businesses/industries to come check out the space to drive new membership
- Use their network and key contacts to grow membership
- Leverage and be on the look out for House members and Friends members to drive new members and spread the word about Soho Friends
- Create and maintain Soho Friends committee and content ambassadors; driving them to reach their targets
- Host a monthly Soho Friends mixer at our Studio
- Maintain a list of interesting members - those with potential to collaborate with and with interesting networks we could tap into
- Studios and Events - 20%_
- We want our Studios to be creative hubs in the community.
Our Soho Friends Membership Manager should be building a space that is fun, creative and innovative
- Partner with all key stakeholders in all areas of operations to support member experience: operations, F&B, membership, hosts, GMs
- Host and deliver events that are aimed at driving new membership
- Maintain positive attentiveness to service, responding positively to guest's needs and ensuring timely resolution to issues
- Soho Friends Membership Manager should chat to members in the Studio gathering feedback and sharing that feedback with operations on service, food, events, atmosphere etc
- Work with the House events team and the Events Coordinator to deliver a fun, creative and imaginative events plan.
Put forward suggestions, look for opportunities and put the events and membership team in touch with new members and suggested collaborations
- Work with the operations team to organise requirements for the events and help host (where applicable)
- Content and Comms - 10%_
- Soho Friends membership manager will need to be on the lookout for good content opportunities
- They will identify members who can become content creators and content posters for Soho Friends
- Membership manager should be taking photos at events and if it's a big event organising a photographer/videographer (who should be members) to take pics and footage
- The Soho Friends Membership Manager will work with Rina to develop communications for Soho Friends
- They will work with the sites to develop on site collateral to support Soho Friends eg.
posters, bill cards etc
