**What you will do**:

Reporting to the head of Solar Centre of Excellence unit, you will be expected:

- To carry out feasibility study and basic design of solar PV projects for the area of interest considering all the project and site constraints that might be present

- To perform the solar resource and energy assessment of solar PV projects

- To support the development team in the preparation of technical documents for the investment committee

- To carry out the optimization of solar PV configuration, design the PV plant layout, select the main equipment components

- To collaborate and coordinate external technical advisors for the energy assessment due diligence validation

- To analyze measurements data from EPG's PV plants.

For the PV projects under development/construction, to give a support in providing indications about: sizing of the number of meteo station/sensors needed, technical specification of weather station installation and maintenance.

- To prepare technical specification and internal procedures related to solar PV plant.

- To give a technical support to all the units involved from the development, execution to operation & maintenance phase of the project.

- To give a technical support to the merge & acquisition activities

- To assist to the scouting phase of new technologies related with the solar PV sector

- To support the commissioning team in evaluating the performance ratio

- To support Operation & Maintenance team in the evaluation of the operational performance of EGP's fleet

- To support and collaborate in cross-activities with innovation unit

- to design optical and electrical models to describe the behavior of solar PV plants

- to design methodologies and solutions to address new evolutions of the solar PV energy assessment process

- to manage the development of tools and software working with external developers, defining features, priorities, and benefits of the digital solution, often following the agile methodology

- to manage and develop MVP of solar PV plant new features which shall be scaled up and implemented in the Solar Centre of Excellence internal process

- to disseminate new tools and software released to the Solar Centre of Excellence global team

- to support the Solar Centre of Excellence global team during the adoption of the new solution created

**Who you are**:

- Electrical/Mechanical/Energy Engineering degree; PhD would be considered a plus

- +3 years work experience in the solar sector, with a focus on the engineering activities

- Good understanding of the renewable energy business, more specifically to solar PV technology, knowledge of photovoltaic system and its main components

- Experience in solar resource energy assessment methodologies and in the design of PV power plant

- Knowledge of concept of CapEx, OpEx, EOH and LCOE of a solar PV plant

- Knowledge of PVsyst software

- Knowledge of MS Office and GIS/Autocad software

- Advanced use of Excel and similar software used for modeling and analysis

- Basic knowledge of programming language: Python and Matlab

- International experience will be considered a plus

- Fluent English (oral & written); knowledge of Spanish and Italian are considered a plus
