Solar Program Director Job Summary: The Project Manager will organize, manage, and plan the sales and installation of Solar Energy Systems for Holland Roofing. Holland Roofing is one of the nation's largest roofing contractors, with over 35 years of providing roofing solutions to our valued customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar energy, sales, and project management, with the ability to lead a team to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversees a team of installation technicians to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications. Delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints. Provides leadership and direction on multiple solar projects from inception to deployment. Duties/Responsibilities: Leads a roofing installation team to complete Solar Energy Systems on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency. Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly. Conducts cost analysis, estimates expected costs for the project and ensures that all work is completed to the highest quality standards. Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates, including tracking project expenses, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors, and resolving any issues that arise during the project lifecycle. Handles project escalations, resolves issues, address risk and provides recommendations for mitigation of risk across projects and partnerships. Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards, including building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards. Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors and ensures a satisfactory experience for all. Develops, oversees, and manages the sales process for Solar Energy Systems with sales and marketing teams to provide training and information including lead, customer consultations, and closing deals. Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions. Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead teams to achieve project goals. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education and Experience: Post-Secondary training in the fields of construction, engineering, and/or business are ideal. Bachelor's degree in related fields are advantageous, but not required. At least three years of experience in solar energy sales and project management. Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards related to solar energy installations. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times. Climbing ladders and stairs and comfortable working at various heights. Always maintain all OSHA safety guidelines.
