Working within the Digital & TV APP Product Development area involves designing and shaping high-quality products that millions of people love and use every day. This area encompasses a variety of digital products and platforms such as: Sky TG24 and Sky Sport websites; Format websites supporting popular TV shows such as XFactor, PechinoExpress, and Masterchef; Free-to-air channel websites such as Cielo TV and TV8; HbbTV and TV applications developed for Sky Q and Sky Glass; We combine our strategic vision, engineering know-how, and operational excellence to deliver customer-led digital products that bring innovation and value to all our customers. What you will do We're looking for a Solutions Architect with a passion for designing and developing high-quality, clean, scalable, reliable, and reusable services with automation in mind. You will play a fundamental role within our Area and be responsible for designing robust, scalable, and secure solutions. This role involves close collaboration with various Product teams, Stakeholders, and Business Partners to understand business needs and transform them into effective, evolvable, and well-structured architectures. As a Solutions Architect, you will actively participate in the SDLC of various Products, from the design phase to delivery, ensuring the adoption of architectural best practices and the excellence of technical solutions. Profile and mindset we are looking for Adaptability in a constantly evolving environment, with the ability to learn and implement new technologies quickly and efficiently. Excellent communication skills to present complex solutions in an understandable manner to all stakeholders, including Engineers and Business personnel. Collaboration and leadership: ability to work in teams, facilitate shared decisions, and guide architectural choices. Experience in designing architectural solutions, focusing on cloud and containerized architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure). In-depth knowledge of Cloud technologies, including Serverless, Containers, and CDN. Knowledge of architectural best practices and the ability to apply them in real-world contexts to ensure scalable, secure, and easily maintainable solutions. Main responsibilities you will have Collaborate with Product teams to translate Business requirements into efficient, scalable, and secure technical solutions. Design and implement serverless or container-based architectures on Cloud (primarily on AWS). Contribute to the definition and continuous improvement of the area's architectural best practices. Conduct architectural reviews to ensure proposed solutions are efficient, easily maintainable, and aligned with guidelines, security requirements, and company standards. Create and update architectural documentation, including Architectural Decision Records (ADR), to ensure transparency and consistency of technical choices over time. Support Product teams in developing innovative solutions and adopting cutting-edge technologies. Present architectural solutions to various audiences, from technical teams to Business Partners and Stakeholders, ensuring clear and targeted communication. Why would you choose this role?
