Solution Development Engineer

To be successful in this role, you will have to provide support to sales professionals and bid managers in the coordination of sales process tasks for larger opportunities and perform varied assignments of advanced nature requiring full use and application of advanced engineering or scientific methods and tools.
You will carry out measurement campaigns on customer's installations to identify and quantify opportunities; deliver investment grade audits at solution development sales stage including detailed energy and operational savings calculations, engineering specifications, and measurement and verification plan to be included in the contract proposal.
You will manage the technical solution and functional reviews with the assigned Peer Reviewer and Measurement and Verification leader and assist in the hand-over process to the project delivery team and provide advice during the project execution. Key responsibilitiesBusiness Relationships: Primary relationship is to support the sales professionals in winning opportunities; (i. e. , providing Whiteboard support) and determining technical components related to customer's mission critical factors; Provides market feedback to marketing and sales professionals. Sales Process: Support both sales professionals and customers during the technical requirement definition and solution development sales process steps. Customers: Participate in the creation of the customer technical roadmap.
Responsible for technical positioning of our solutions against customers needs and requirements. People Management: Work as a team player with sales professionals and bidding team in assigned geography.
Act as a resource in support of the sale to address the customer's technical and application requirements. Leadership: Provide coaching to sales professionals as it relates to their assigned application specialty and provide training to more junior SDEs. Results: Achieves orders, margin, and growth for assigned areas of expertise within the region. Key skills and qualificationsDegree in Mechanical, Electrical or Energy Engineering and 7+ years of experience in engineering design and supervision or management of construction projects. Certified M&V, Energy Management accreditation, CEM or local equivalent. In-depth technical knowledge in one or more areas of expertise and breadth of knowledge in general fields. Ability to translate customers' business drivers and their organizational needs into a technical solution. Demonstration of strong verbal and written communication, both in Italian and English language.
