Solutions Definition Analyst - Travel DistributionSolutions Definition Analyst - Travel DistributionJob Title: Solutions EngineerBusiness Environment:Within the Engineering department of our Travel Distribution business, the objective of the Consulting & Bespoke Services department is to develop a strong pole of services for Travel Distribution, contributing to the realization of our growth objectives and strategy.

Our ambition is to further monetize our services and be a unique differentiator against competition. Bespoke Services (BSS) oversees the design, build, delivery, and maintenance of custom applications, meaning ad-hoc developments requested to match the exact need of one customer.

Some of these applications become popular and are requested at market or global levels.

BSS also acts as a mini-R&D/Product Management entity, driving the evolution of these community applications from a functional and technical point of view.

These applications are sometimes built on top of Amadeus products and delivered through three flavors: Desktop Customization scripts (SmartScripts) integrated in Sell Connect, Amadeus Robotics, and true Bespoke applications (for example, a booking engine, middleware, custom API, etc. ).

Our development cycle is based on Agile methodologies and is aligned with the best practices defined within Amadeus. About the Role:We are looking for a Solutions Definition Analyst who enjoys finding solutions to complex problems and is willing to design RESTful APIs.

You will be responsible for understanding the true business needs behind customer requirements, and design, specify, and validate our applications. You will be in contact with delivery management, product management, and development teams, but also customers, to design and support delivery of custom solutions for customers using Amadeus Points of Sale (including e-commerce platform), Amadeus Robotics Platform, and Amadeus WebServices/APIs. Main Responsibilities:Participate in the pre-sales activity including feasibility study, best usage of available products owned by Bespoke Services or customization capabilities, and optimized flows considering customer wishes and commercial constraints. Analyze business requirements submitted by Delivery segments. Review change requests. Provide information to the Delivery Management as necessary for the elaboration of business proposals, including sizing and costs. Elaborate functional specifications. Elaborate swagger specifications, with the support of the team, for RESTful APIs (we publish our APIs on Amadeus for Developers portal). Validate test scenarios in collaboration with QA engineers. Interface with relevant departments to identify interaction with other Amadeus packages and assure functional compatibility. Test products to ensure compliance of the delivered functionality and system integrity. Carry out the functional walk-through of the solution with the Development team and Delivery Segments. Ensure production integrity by validating and prioritizing reported problems. Interface and communicate with Delivery Segments. Interface with customers during functional specification, testing, and initial implementation phases as necessary. Write implementation guides. Give a solution demo to delivery segments, internal or external customers. About Our Ideal Candidate:At least 3 years of professional experience. Travel distribution knowledge (GDS, PNR, travel agency business, etc. )

is required. No prior experience as a developer, engineer, or analyst is required, but relevant experience is preferred such as familiarity with the software development life cycle. If no experience working with APIs and web-based technology, you must possess a willingness to learn. Fluent in English.
