Job Title : Solutions Engineer (Security) General Purpose of the Position: The Solutions Engineer (Security) will provide consultancy, guidance and direction for design and delivery of hyperscale client security projects across EMEA. The Solutions Engineer (Security) will design and deliver our client security scope to meet our client contractual deliverables through the design and delivery stages. The Solutions Engineer (Security) will provide a client-specific design and build strategy and act as the client interface during our bid, delivery and handover stages, meeting client expectations, acting as SPOC, management of key milestones, build status reporting, risk management, client data centre acceptance and project closeout. The Solutions Engineer (Security) will be accountable for defining and executing a security design and build process structure that is used consistently across EMEA projects. The Solutions Engineer (Security) requires senior level leadership skills, client facing experience, a sense of urgency, and excellent team organizational skills across multiple countries and technology disciplines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides leadership, consultancy, guidance to client security designs installing a consistent approach to hyperscale clients, ensuring lease and contract conditions are met. Lead security technical responses for bid submission, working with Hyperscale, Construction, Bid Management and operational teams. Manage client 'SME (subject matter experts)' security technical reviews. Work with Design, Construction, Solutions Engineering and Development to integrate and execute client security design requirements. Own bid, NRC (Non-Recurring Costs) pricing and cost analysis for client security packages. Manage the design, installation and integration of security systems. Accountable for tracking and risk management of client security milestones. Accountable for client security project reporting and controls. Supports quality control of handovers from construction stage to operations and client. Leads client security project closeout and completion of related project delivery checklists. Coordinate client security site tours with direction from Construction and Operations. Lead quality control and handover package from pre-sales to construction, Solution delivery, security and Operations. Drive client engagement to qualify and capture security technical requirements, improvements through Lesson learn. Leverage interaction with our Global teams: Engagement of technical, delivery requirements and other resources for a consistent client delivery. Create and maintain partner relationships with supply chain, in collaboration with Solution Engineering, Construction and operation teams focusing on cost, efficiency and reduced delivery timescales. Job Practicalities / Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related engineering and project management discipline. Significant experience managing security fit out projects at a commercial hyperscale data centre provider. Deep understanding of design and physical security standards. Strong knowledge of the construction and project delivery process and working with construction, general contractors, H&S, consultants and design teams for hyperscale data centre users. Has the capability to determine electrical, mechanical, security, and communications related data centre scope requirements, solutions, and construction requirements. Able to prioritize workload and attention in a rapidly changing environment. Strong application software skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; Visio; AutoCAD.
