The position is a challenging opportunity for a bright aerospace, mechanical engineer with a special motivation in design and development of aerospace propulsion elements within the Finis Terrae Project.

The very idea of the Finis Terrae project is to develop and deliver world class Orbital Propulsion System solutions, by using an innovative development approach, focused to risk decision making and time to market.

The candidate will be an outstanding MSc graduate or PhD in Mechanical/Aerospace or other equivalent engineering or physical sciences coherent with space propulsion system field.

The candidate shall be familiar with space propulsion part design and related disciplines (gasdynamics, materials, structural mechanics, dynamics. . . ) and shall master design tools (CAD/CAE).

He/She shall have preferably a working experience in component design in aerospace industry.

The position implies a large level of autonomy integrated in Finis Terrae multicultural team, he/she will be largely empowered on project lifecycle, from design to integration and operations.

Frequent interfaces with academic environment, customer and industrial chain are part of the position.

English as a working language and international mindset are mandatory conditions, working seat in Rome, Italy, frequent travels to be foreseen.
