The position is a challenging opportunity for a bright aerospace, mechanical, mechatronic engineer with a special motivation in design and development of aerospace propulsion system and structures within the Finis Terrae Project.

The very idea of the Finis Terrae project is to develop and deliver world class Orbital Propulsion System solutions, by using an innovative development approach, focused to risk decision making and time to market.

The candidate education will be either a PhD or outstanding MSc graduation in Mechanical/Mechatronic/Aerospace or other equivalent engineering or physical sciences coherent with space propulsion system field.

The candidate shall have awareness of norms and procedures applicable to space industry (i. e.

ECSS), be autonomous on system engineering and design tools (CAD/CAE), and should, possibly, have basis for design of composite aerospace structures.

He/She shall have a working experience in component design and system design possibly in aerospace industry.

The position implies a large level of autonomy and management tasks, he/she will be largely empowered on project in the Finis Terrae branch in Rome.

Frequent interfaces with academic environment, customer and industrial chain are part of the position.

English as a working language and international mindset are mandatory conditions, working seat in Rome, Italy, frequent travels to be foreseen.
