Space Vehicle Systems Engineer - Protected Categories (L.68/99)
Tyvak International is seeking new members to join their team to support space vehicle development. Tyvak focuses on developing and integrating key components and technologies into highly-integrated and high performance nano-satellite vehicles. The team's skillset ranges from architecture, design, build, and test of mechanical, electrical, and software subsystems integrated into small spacecraft.
As a Systems Engineer - protected categories (L. 68/99), the candidate will join a collaborative team to develop innovative nano-satellite vehicle solutions for multiple projects. The individual will be responsible for mission planning, requirements management, vehicle sizing, system trade studies, interface definition, and systems integration.
Specific tasks may include: Working in a small team environment closely with hardware, software, mechanical, and systems engineers to develop optimal solutions to complex problemsManaging requirements to ensure proper flow-down and traceability, as well as requirements verificationPerforming system and vehicle level trade studies to balance risk, cost, and performanceSupporting assembly, integration, and test (AI&T) activities including generation of build procedures and test plans/proceduresLeading concept of operations development and mission operations proceduresParticipating in team discussions involving vehicle architecture and design for future projectsMinimum Requirements: Belonging to protected categories (L. 68/99) is mandatoryBS or MS in engineering field with focus on Aerospace or other engineering disciplineBasic understanding of the Systems Engineering processFamiliarity with spacecraft and/or launch vehicle systems. Small satellite or CubeSat experience desirableHighly motivated, self-starting, enthusiastic, and able to perform duties autonomouslyAbility to solve complex problems with a high degree of innovation and effectivenessCuriosity towards different technical subjects and a multidisciplinary approach to problem solvingAbility to lead and coordinate project technical teams to ensure program successSalary and benefits are market competitive. Position expected to be filled as soon as possible.
