We, Operations and Modeling science for non-English and Global domain Acceleration (OMEGA) are building the speech and language solutions behind Amazon Echo and other Amazon products and services. Our goal is to make voice interfaces universal and as natural as speaking to a human.

We have a relentless focus on the customer experience and customer feedback. The team is responsible for cutting-edge development in Natural Language Understanding (NLU).

Spanish Data Linguist Team (part of OMEGA) in Turin () is responsible of new feature localization and implementation; high quality Spanish grammvelopment and delivery, Bugs analysis and resolution to improve the existing Alexa portfolio.

We work closely with other Data Linguists, Language Engineers, Program Managers and Scientists to deliver magical experiences that customers love. Amazon is seeking a Spanish Data Linguist to join our Alexa data team.

This role focuses on building language solutions that power Alexa products including work in the areas of text annotation, grammar writing, data analysis, and localizationDriven by your passion for data, you show proactive behavior in solving issues with efficiency and accuracy.

Native level fluency in Spanish (CEFR C1 or above) Business level fluency in English.

(B2 or above) Experience with language data handling or data markup.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e. g.

Word, Excel, Access, etc.

). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree in Linguistics or Computational Linguistics.

Experience working with grammars and other forms of speech or NLP technology Interest in semantics and related areas.

Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and learn in-house user-interface tools.

Experience with command line interfaces and basic UNIX commands.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

Practical knowledge of data processing needs and trade-offs.

Business level (B2 or above) fluency in English and in at least one language between Italian, French, German.

Detail-oriented with excellent communication and strong organizational skills.

Team player with exceptional interpersonal skills and a solution-oriented attitude.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly-collaborative, dynamic work environment.

Willingness to support several projects at one time and to accept re-prioritization as necessary.
