Specialist Sales Execution
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION The candidate needs to ensure the highest level of quality when interacting with our customers, be customer-oriented and create value for customers as well as for Hapag-Lloyd. He/she needs to be an expert on the commodities/type of customer assigned. This position is not only responsible of selling company's products, but also to offer an integral service to each account.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION Evaluate customer potential and create a strategic planContinuously improve the customer portfolio by securing new accounts and removing under-performing accountsEnsure regular updates of all activities in SalesforceReview customer performance with Sales Manager and define appropriate actionsWhere appropriate for their market serve as specialists for a segmented verticalPrepare and conduct visits, report and follow-up on visitsConclude contracts for customers (proposal, negotiation, closing)Record commitments (tender tracking/commercial)Selectively engage in Trade Management discussions where relevant (e. g. , tender guidance and negotiations, special commodity market rates, etc. )Provide feedback on the market including rates, competition activities, market conditions etc to all relevant stakeholdersGive clear info to Inside Sales regarding pricing requirements to enable future communications with Trade ManagementProvide clear info to Inside Sales regarding handover to Customer ServiceMINIMUM QUALIFICATION University Degree, Commercial Engineer, Business Administration, International Trade or equivalent. Experience 3-5 years - Previous experience such as Senior Sales position / Experience in multi- national companies, preferably in industries related to the accounts assigned or of transportation items, shipping or international trade. English Advanced level (written and spoken)Maritime regulation (FMC)Advanced negotiation, decision-making and presentation skills, self-confident and friendly when dealing with othersDemonstrated ability to be multi-task, set priorities, organize work and implement action itemsAnalytical skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environment and good interpersonal skillsComprehensive knowledge of user application systems (CRM, COMPASS, MS Office)
