Sr. Analyst,Logistics Transportation
Position Purpose
This position, reporting to the Associate Manager, Regional Transportation HQ Europe, will be responsible for the day-to-day management of transport operations and analytics to drive end to end cost and performance improvements across the region.
The role is focusing (70%) on performance management and project management to enable sales freight and COS containment and enhance performance KPI improvements and cost savings.
For the remaining part (30%) the role carries out day-to-day operations within the region.
The role works cross-functionally with the different supply chain teams (Logistics Operations, Supply Planning, Customer Fulfillment, Manufacturing, Direct & Indirect Procurement, Global Trade Compliance) and works in synergy with external 4PLs.
**Key Accountabilities**:
**Cost
- Deliver Regional Transportation budgets and cost savings targets for the different BUs & P&Ls (GCB COS, GCB SF, PRO COS)
- Ensures high visibility of E2E freight costs across the region
- Lead yearly Budget activities
- Enable cost to serve optimization through data analysis
- Support transportation contract tendering by providing benchmark and carrier performance analysis, bid analysis and allocation analysis
- Coordinate landed cost requests
- Contribute to the efficiency of the total cost of ownership by securing that every transport is utilized to the fullest
- Lead Transportation analysis to support monthly cost review
**Service
- Deliver Service KPIs OTP, OTD, OTC targets across GCB & PRO Europe
- Lead continuous improvement plans to improve service KPIs together with SC business partners, freight forwarding companies and 4PLs
- Lead data collection and root cause analysis for Weekly and Monthly Operational Reviews
- Ensure import & export operations in Europe in compliance with SCJ and local country customs legislation and regulation, together with shipment traceability
- Solve day to day operational issues impacting the ability to distribute effectively
- Coordinate Day to day freight analysis and provide the HOW guidelines within Supply Chain
- Support Transportation Lead in continuous improvement analysis
- Support Transportation Lead in data analysis for carrier/freight forwarders management (operational issues, rate increase, TT analysis)
- Lead and coordinate cross functional activities to secure transportation capacity during peak periods
**Projects
- Participate and Lead major improvement projects for the region (transport optimizations, source changes, w/h relocation, network redesign, etc)
- Lead Logistics within OTTW process
- Ensure maintenance of Transportation Shipping Working Instructions, Masterfiles and Routing guides in cooperation with the external 4PLs
- Establish best practice across the region and champion the extension to new geographies
- Manage the relationship between suppliers, 3PLS, 4PLSs, and 3PMs guaranteeing the operational flow and shipping accuracy as per SCJ requirements
- Deep understanding of market conditions and business requirements
**People
- Develop deep functional and sustainable capability in regional transportation & logistics
- Become a LEAN Champion, foster LEAN methodology and culture within Supply Chain
**Customer
- Partner with supply chain key stakeholders to optimize customer service and cost within the network
- Provide analysis, insight and predictive measures into transportation performance, driving agility and efficiency tradeoffs in regional transportation
**Required Skills and Education**:
- Bachelor University degree in Logistics, Economics or Industrial Management Engineering
- Relevant experience in Logistics or other Supply Chain functions (2 years min)
- Proactivity and strong courage
- Eager to learn and to work in a regional Team,
- Excellent analytical skills with financial acumen
- Ability to powerfully portray data and leverage to drive continuous improvement
- Ability to deal with complexity and manage ambiguity
- Fluent in speaking, writing, and reading English
