The Senior Manager Occupational Health (OH), EMEA & ASPAC Regions will lead the development, authoring, and deployment of global occupational health policies, procedures, directives, and standards of practice.
The Senior Manager Occupational Health (OH), EMEA & ASPAC Regions, in conjunction with the Regional Medical Director, serves as a regional resource to sites on the interpretation of applicable regulations, company policy or procedure, and provides technical guidance on OH matters as needed.
In addition, this person provides technical direction and support on pandemic management and guidelines for employee health.
The Senior Manager Occupational Health (OH), EMEA & ASPAC Regions will collaborate with Regional EHS and OH leaders to optimize Global Health Services resource deployment against strategic objectives.
S/he will routinely collaborate with business leaders in the region and is expected to work with external groups and agencies as needed.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Accountable for the implementation of global occupational health policies, procedures, medical surveillance guides, programs, and standards of care.
- Responsible for collaborating with Regional EHS / OH professionals in the successful implementation of the occupational health strategy in support of business objectives.
- Serves as the Regions expert on classification, recording, and case management of occupational injuries and illness.
- Serves as the Regions expert on employee or contractor accommodations and medical restrictions.
- Responsible to implement practices and guidelines in response to pandemics to ensure a healthy working environment.
- Drives health outcomes including reducing population health risks, leading and eliminating workplace health risks, and supporting improved business outcomes through advancing employee health and workplace safety.
- Is accountable for the delivery of agreed-to Occupational health metrics and outcomes.
- Provides technical and operational input to Regional EHS / OH leaders in building a lean, highly proficient OH team that delivers OH services to all facilities within the region.
Handles geographically dispersed client group locations which may include a mix of J&J employees and contractors.
- Brings value by driving greater efficiency, identification of innovative approaches, use of digital technology and standardization in the deployment of OH resources, processes, procedures, and programs using a regional construct.
- Conducts periodic performance and service satisfaction reviews with Site leaders.
- Routinely engages business leaders to review employee health performance and surveillance compliance.
**Qualifications** Position Requirements**:
- University/Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Nursing, Occupational Health or related health care field
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in occupational health, health & wellness, corporate health, or related function
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience as a supervisor
- Travel: Up to 50% within the regions
- Knowledge of EMEA & ASPAC Regional OH regulations
- Experience with regional policy, procedure, program; authoring, development, deployment, and implementation
- Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills to evaluate data and challenge results
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to confidently present complex information
