Sr. Manager, Regional Access Lead - Central Italy
The Role**:
Reporting to the GM Italy, and located remotely in Central Italy (ideally Latium) the Sr.
Manager, Regional Access Lead, will be the first customer-facing roles on Moderna's newly-chartered mission to commercialize the vaccines which serve previously unmet medical need.
This brand-new role is critical to Moderna's transition from clinical stage to commercial organization, bringing thought leadership and a drive to win the market to our ambitious team of researchers and clinicians.
You will join a dynamic country organization that is growing fast and blazing trails, and you will bring a relentless drive for excellence, how to shape the market and how to win with our customers in the Public Health space, as well as with Contracting Bodies.
The Regional Access Lead will work closely on a day-to-day basis with colleagues across the commercial and access organizations to help establish product strategies, position Moderna and our products, engage various groups of stakeholders and national and regional level and take responsibility for implementing omnichannel tactics to drive growth, market impact and profitable sales within the wider business.
**Here's What You Will Do**:
Strategize and Think Different
Understand and anticipate the Regional Health Administration's goals and needs across the regional healthcare system and identify business opportunities, leading in alignment with cross-functional teams, the development of integrated account plans.
Conceive and develop innovative key account product segmentation and solutions translated across B2C or B2B customer segments that builds and enables a "winning" platform for Moderna's brands and products.
Build and develop innovative business solutions that lead to new and non-traditional commercial channels for Moderna's vaccines.
Leverage data and digital enablement tools to prioritize opportunities across a dynamic landscape of potential and target key accounts.
Then, you will build great relationships and establish trust at multiple levels both within Moderna and our target customers.
Ensure full understanding, updating, submitting and winning on key regional tenders
Build Strong Partnerships, Internally and Externally
Establish and maintain connections externally with targeted customers, including physicians, regional health authorities, corporate, public officials, and other potential customers that would need to be made aware and convinced about the value proposition of Moderna products.
We are breaking new ground with our products, so you will need to be comfortable with thinking outside the traditional account management landscape to create account strategies that reflect our approach to solving critical unaddressed health needs.
Build and develop access solutions to key customer segments including (but not limited to) Retailers, Wholesalers, Public Channels, Employers, Health Networks, and other channels in collaboration with key functional responsibles
Build and maintain a working understanding of the competitive landscape for our key products (mRNA-1273 COVID-19 Vaccine and following vaccine products: RSV, Flu, CMV) and the policy environment around these products.
In particular, the fast-moving market for mRNA-1273 will require a high degree of adaptability and trust-building with key accounts.
Execute on key commercial projects
Be a key player in building Moderna's Vaccines commercial organization, in partnership with a newly forming team that will blaze trails in brand new markets and grow Moderna at an accelerated pace.
Anticipate needs of regional stakeholders and translate them in customer focused commercial and access strategies
Implement the local tender strategy and deliver best-practice project management oversight for key account activities to ensure Moderna lives up to its promise to patients.
Where appropriate manage appointed distributors and agents, ensuring their use is optimized while still maintaining an appropriate relationship with the end customer.
Ensure risk is minimized and due diligence complete with contracts negotiated.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to manage performance to the customers and establish Key Performance Indicators with distributors in order to review performance and recommend corrective actions.
Comply with corporate policies and procedures as well as all applicable healthcare laws and regulations.

Finish onboarding and begin your core role as a Regional Access Lead
Clearly understand the company position and its commercial strategy
Start owning our Mindsets and Values and becoming a driving force behind Moderna's promise of mRNA science to create a new generation of transformative medicines for patients
