As the **Sr.
Manager of Supply Risk and Intelligence **you are responsible for enabling a resilient supply chain for Micron operations.
You will lead a small global team who maps supply chain from raw material to Tier 1 suppliers and utilizes this data to identify areas of risk (single source, geographic concentration, geopolitical, natural disaster, macro-economic risk) and gain a deep understanding of the total supply chain and interdependencies.
The group will perform risk assessments on geopolitical, health, environmental, regulatory, and macroeconomic trends and associated scenarios and deliver actionable recommendations to the procurement category leaders to minimize risk over the long term.
The team will utilize tools that monitors real time events 24x7 that could impact the supply chain, manufacturing centers, and non-manufacturing assets and ensures stakeholders (manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, sales, business continuity management) are provided immediate information, data, and recommendations necessary to mitigate the impact of an event.
The leader will partner with the procurement Center of Excellence by providing the required risk data to enable predictive analytic capabilities that provide specific tactical recommendations to procurement categories to mitigate risk.
**Supply Risk and Intelligence Responsibilities**:
- Supply Chain Mapping
- Drive transparency to enable resiliency through the supply chain network
- Ensure the supply chain is adequately mapped (Tier 1 to Raw Material) to understand near term and long-term risk to the supply chain and the potential impact of events.
- Connect, enrich, and evaluate data on the supply chain to gain insight into both near term and long-term risks to business resilience.
Provide this data to the Center of Excellence for incorporation into advanced predictive models.
- Utilize supply chain mapping to determine potential areas of cost savings that are actionable by the category teams.
- Event Monitoring and Communication
- Monitor global events 24x7 against the mapped supply chain
- Ensure stakeholders (manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, executives, sales, business continuity) have the information needed for them to make appropriate decisions.
- Partner with Global Category team to ensure they have information needed to understand impact and mitigate the supply risk.
- Provide data feeds as necessary to the Center of Excellence for usage in predictive tools.
- Partner with Crisis Management team if the event level warrants activation of the team.
- Monitor adjacent supply chain and markets that could impact the Micron supply chain.
- Supply Risk Assessments
- Single Source - Identify points of single source risk throughout the supply chain
- Geographic Concentration - Identify supply risk associated with the concentration of supply in high-risk geographies and make actionable recommendations to the Procurement Category teams to mitigate the risk
- Weather, health, other environmental natural disaster risk - Identify trends and areas of high risk and recommend mitigating actions
- Macroeconomic, geopolitical, regulatory, brand, environmental/GHG risk exposure - Monitor and assess potential impact of trends and events on the supply chain
- Develop potential scenarios on the above risks and assess probability of those scenarios providing actionable recommendations to the appropriate stakeholders
- Cyber Risk -Partner with the cyber security team on assessment of cyber risk in the supply chain
- Partner with Supplier Risk Management to integrate macro supply risks into the supplier risk assessment process
**Manage and Build an Effective team**:
