OnSemi is seeking a Staff Analog Design Engineer for NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT in Power Management to join our growing team in Milano, Italy.

This group is responsible for the development of power management products, including multiphase controllers, smart power FETs, and DC-DC converters for consumer, industrial, and automotive applications.

In this role, you will focus on the following. ResponsibilitiesDesign analog and mixed-signal blocks and chip top levelComprehensive simulation coverage of all circuits designedContribute to product definition, specification review, feasibility, and architectureAssist with design schedule and die size estimationOptimize circuit size and performanceSupport post-silicon validation and debugDesign, simulation, and verification of power converter IC using state-of-the-art EDA tools. QualificationsBS in Electrical Engineering or related + 5 years of experience, or MS + 3 years of experienceSolid knowledge of EDA design tools and Cadence design environmentComprehensive understanding of power conversion architectures such as Buck, Boost, LDOs, gate drivers, comparators, linear regulators gm-stage, and relevant analog building blocks. Familiarity with advanced Bipolar, CMOS, and High Voltage BCD technology, process, device physics, semiconductor manufacturing processes, and their impact on analog performanceUnderstanding of analog and mixed-signal circuits including amplifiers, bandgap, data converters, current sense amplifiers, etc. Understanding of modeling in Verilog A/AMS/System VerilogGood verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in leading-edge design and verification tools such as Simplis or MATLAB for architectural simulations, Cadence Spectre for schematic capture, simulation, layout, and tape-outAbility to quickly ramp on new systems and processesAbility to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functionsAbout Usonsemi (Nasdaq: ON) is driving disruptive innovations to help build a better future.
