As Firmware (FW) R&D Architect, your focus will be the high-level definition of embedded software, with special focus on process compliance to new quality standards, for a new platform of microcontrollers-based products, which are integrated in the majority of cars all across the globe.

You will actively support the product development from feasibility study till product ramp up, interacting with Product Definition Engineers (Requirements), HW Concept Engineers, FW Implementers, FW Verification Team and Quality Engineers.

In your new role you will:

- **Be responsible of FW Architecture and support in FW Design **in a context of System development based on a common ARM based CPU Sub-system platform;

- **Explore State of the Art Software modeling methodologies **(MBSE: Model Based System Engineering making use of Enterprise Architect) to ensure a configurable, reliable and reusable model in order to reduce development cycle time, and allow "Shift Left" in architecture verification and documentation;

- **Cooperate with colleagues **focused on FW development and verification in order to define reusable and optimized (size, performance) solutions;

- **Be required to document **, describe and defend FW solutions adopted in a HW experts' context;

- **Define strategy and explore methodologies **to improve automation and reduce effort in the area of FW Architecture;

- **Follow IFX FW process and identify opportunities **to be more efficient during daily activities;

- **Perform requirements **, code and verification strategy reviews inside FW team;

- **Contribute to the definition of the Infineon FW methodology **including ASPICE, ISO26262, ISO21434 compliant development process;

- **Network with other IFX firmware and Software experts **as well as System Concept Engineers.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

- **A Master's degree or PhD in **Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent degree;

- **At least 5 Years of experience **in Firmware or Embedded Software Development.

Experience in Automotive would be a great plus;

- **Technical skills**:Deep UML knowledge **, **C Programming language knowledge **, **object orientated languages (python);

- **Good assembly knowledge **(ARM assembly is better), **software development practices **(collaborative and Agile, e. g.

SCRUM);

- **Understanding of Firmware Development areas **like Boot mode or Bootstrap loader;

- **Experience on embedded software development **on ARM-based microcontroller and related toolchain (assembler, compiler, linker);

- **Knowledge of Automotive Functional Safety **(ISO 26262), ASPICE, AutoSAR and other standards would be a plus;

- **Tools**:Modeling tools (Enterprise Architect would be a plus), VCS tools: Git, SVN, Eclipse;

- **Leadership**:

- Coordinate teams of developers to meet design standards;

- **Fluency in English written and spoken.
