Post Context
Headquarters Allied Joint Force Command Naples is a Joint Headquarters, operating at the Operational Level, capable of executing effective command and control over assigned forces in order to achieve Operational effects in an assigned Joint Operating Area.
As a Joint Force Command the relationships with other NATO Command Structure and NATO Force Structure Component Command Headquarters will change between baseline activities, crisis and conflict.
It also provides Joint competencies to assigned NATO Force Structure Headquarters tasked to deploy as Joint Task Force Headquarters
The NATO Strategic Direction -South Hub (NSD-S Hub) contributes to information sharing, situational awareness and comprehensive understanding for both the operational and strategic levels to inform decision making.
Monitor and assess the dynamics in the operating environment of the South and contribute to coordination and synchronisation of NATO's activities in the South.
The Knowledge Management & Engagement Branch is responsible for identifying, directing, validating, prioritising, coordinating, and fusing NATO Strategic Direction - South (NSD-S)-related information and Knowledge requirements.
The Knowledge Management Centre is responsible for establishing, developing, and managing cross-functional and inter-agency information sharing tools to ensure access and dissemination of Hub-deliverables.
The Civilian-Military Engagement Coordination Section supports the development, planning and implementation of NATO cooperation and partnership programs in the NATO Strategic Direction - South (NSD-S) area.
It contributes to NATO's situational awareness and comprehensive understanding in the NSD-S area, through the establishment and maintenance of a permanent and robust liaison network.
The Civil-Military Engagement North Africa (NA) and Sahel Cell, supports the development, planning and implementation of NATO cooperation and partnership programs focus in the NA area through the establishment and maintenance of a permanent and robust liaison network.
The incumbent's main responsibility is to contribute to NATO's situational awareness and comprehensive understanding in the North Africa and Sahel area, through the establishment and maintenance of a permanent and robust liaison network.
The cell monitors and provides advice on the synchronization of NATO engagement with non-military actors and NNEs in the area, in order to leverage non-military information while delivering comprehensive Hub products.
Coordinated by CIVMIL Engagement Manager, to contribute to the Hub-wide out-reach program (engagement plan) with non-military actors and NNEs in support of the delivery of comprehensive Hub products.

The employee may be required to perform a similar range of duties elsewhere within the organisation at the same grade without there being any change to the contract
The work is normally performed in a Normal NATO office working environment.

Principal Duties
The incumbent's duties are:
Facilitates the Section Head and the Director's interaction with non-military actors and NNEs and contributes to his KLE
- Facilitates other NSD-S Hub sections/branches/cells outreach to non-military actors
- In support of Stakeholder analysis, identifies key International, regional, governmental and non-governmental organizations capabilities and limitations in the NSD-S HUB area of interest in order to identify the success factors to assess, create and sustain stability
- Analyzes key International, regional, governmental and non-governmental organizations agenda, priorities, perceptions, and means in order to de-conflict or coordinate the planning of activities to work toward a stable NSD-S Hub AoI
- Initiates and monitors a liaison network with selected non-military actors in order to facilitate an information sharing structure for identifying factors of instability and creating stability
- Process and assesses the information received from the International, regional, governmental and non-governmental organizations to support the NSD-S Hub comprehensive understanding
- Meets with selected non-military actors to ensure mutual support and understanding
- Provides specific expertise to the development of scenarios, the CPOE and JOPG work in the NSD-S Hub AoI as required
- Undertakes work as part of a project team or working group as directed or assigned
