Store Activation & Events Expert (Brand Center Rome)
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:
- The Activation Expert position is a new and unique role created specifically for the adidas Key City stores.
- The Key City stores have a high degree of local relevance and ensure that the store is part of the overall Brand echo system in the city, building both the Brand experience, perception and also stores performance.
The Key City stores re-enforce the connection to the City Creators and the adidas Community.
- The Activation Expert will develop an in-store link between the consumer retail experience and the adidas brand in the city connecting, engaging, enabling and inspiring the key city relevant communities and influencers 365 days a year building an authentic and longterm relationship with them.
- Through best in class retail activation & marketing initiatives this role will be pivotal in driving the vision & future of the adidas brand.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the Key City store activation program comes to life each season in line with the product and brand stories - includes window execution, visual merchandising alignment, in-store communication, events, etc.
- Be fully accountable for store consumer analysis through consumer insights collection
- Be knowledgeable about the targets and performance of BC Rome Store, working closely with sales team and pro-actively assess any business opportunity or performance issue.
- Be a knowledge expert on sports within the city and the competitors initiatives and develop methods to share this knowledge with the other Key City Store staff.
- Create contents relevant and in line to the adidas Brand and local Key City strategy.
- Work with the critical business partner, the Key City Manager to ensure all events involve the Key City store
- Drive the elements of community connectivity within the Key City store by networking with local Running, Training and Football communities and establishing relationships with key consumers and influencers.
- Organize and host events both in
- and out-of store in alignment with Brand strategy
- Serve as a sports beacon within the Key City store; this roll will not have a direct focus on selling product.
- Engage and inspire the Key City staff, consumers and community on the adidas brand.
- Support in managing the assigned Marketing Activation budget
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Part of the city's sports culture and knowledge expert about the sport city scene
- Strong in building relations and inspiring people becoming a point of reference within the city around sport
- Visual communicator and storyteller - an eye for capturing content in an adidas way.
- Good copywriter using the target consumer's tone of voice.
- Social influencer and early adopter / native of social media.
- Ability to drive activation calendar and run community events
- Connected with a large and relevant contact book of influencers.
- Knowledge expert about the sports community, adidas brand and the respective flagship city.
- Passion for the Sports and the adidas brand and enthusiasm/energy for activation.
- Ideas focused, complemented with organizational and project management skills.
- Creative and innovative.
- Fluent in local language and proficient English.
- Knowledgeable in MS Office.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree in marketing and sales or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 2-3 years of retail and/or retail marketing experience.
- In-store retail experience is a plus.
- Experience of relevant PR / marketing / events is an advantage.
