At our Reggio Emilia plant, Danfoss Power Solutions is looking for a Strategic Buyer Internship to support our purchasing team.

This role offers the chance to develop hands-on experience in procurement processes, supplier management, and cost-saving initiatives, while working in a global company committed to innovation and sustainability.

Job Responsibilities You will be guided by your tutor to learn and gradually take on the following responsibilities:

You will manage requests for quotations and select suppliers, developing your analytical and negotiation skills.

You will support cost-saving projects, contributing to strategic cost optimization.

You will create and update Excel files, refining your data management skills.

You will handle follow-ups with suppliers, improving communication and relationship management.

You will update the SAP system with key information, such as prices and procurement lists.

You will learn to negotiate discounts with suppliers, optimizing purchasing conditions.

You will learn how to stabilize a supply base deep diving supplier capacity and stock level agreements.

You will assist with contract management and back-office activities, ensuring operational efficiency.

Minimum Requirements A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Management Engineering, Economics, or equivalent – courses related to management and/or Supply Chain are a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, essential for data management and creating effective reports.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, necessary for interacting with suppliers and colleagues clearly and professionally.

Strong command of both written and spoken Italian and English.
