AniCura is looking for an experienced procurement professional for the position of **Strategic Procurement Manager** for Indirect Goods and Services.

As part of the Group Procurement team you will have full responsibility developing an approach to address Indirect spend across the Group, for managing the relationships and negotiating agreements with our suppliers in indirect categories to optimally support our clinics across Europe.

**About the role

As the new Strategic Procurement Manager you will be part of the Group Procurement team of AniCura, consisting of 14 people, who are together responsible for managing the relations with our suppliers and driving procurement excellence across the group.

You will report to the Head of Procurement.

The role can be based in any city with AniCura offices across Europe (including Amsterdam, Stockholm, Madrid, Milan).

The role is permanent and full-time.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Take full ownership for developing an approach for addressing Indirect spend across the AniCura

- Manage and drive improvement and consolidation initiatives across Indirect categories

- Initiate and deliver European and local sourcing activities and negotiations

- Provide support to in-country management and Group functions when purchasing, conducting tenders or agreement negotiations with suppliers in critical categories, e. g.

P&O and Finance systems, Health & Safety, and IT

- Develop a guideline for negotiating and renewing rental contracts

- Possibly: select and manage an external consultant to accelerate and build structure and capability in Indirect (as part of the overall Indirect approach)

**You are expected to have**:

- 7+ years work experience as a procurement or category management professional

- Strong academic record

- Proven negotiation skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English

- Proficiency in second European language (German, Spanish, French, Italian) besides English is a plus

- Experience in medical, veterinary or adjacent industry (pharma, veterinary care, human care, medical equipment) is a plus
