Strategy & Post Merger Integration Manager
Generali is a major player in the global insurance industry - a strategic and highly important sector for the growth, development and welfare of modern societies.
Within the Group Business Transformation area we are looking for a Strategy & Post Merger Integration manager who reports to the Group Head of Strategy & Business Transformation
Main responsibilities and tasks are:
- Define Generali Group strategy: provide input to the strategy planning process, perform scenarios analysis, perform periodic reviews/assessment of existing BUs' strategies, monitor effective delivery and execution of the Group strategy and strategic directions, steer Group resources to support specific local needs to follow up on agreed the strategy.
- Benchmark Generali Group strategy relative to peers through the analysis of the performance, strengths and weaknesses of key global competitors.
- Support operationalization of the Generali strategy ensuring its execution through strategic initiative implementation at Global level, involving all HO and local BUs Stakeholders according to identified Group priorities.
- Ensure the completion of Country strategic plans, supporting and systematically reviewing their implementation so as to ensure maximum impact across the business units.
- Facilitate the strategy dialogue with Countries/Regions by setting the strategic agenda, identifying top priority issues to be addressed.
- Support value generation from acquisition of assets and merger activities through Post Merger Integration methodology and oversight, with specific focus on aligning acquired asset to Generali Group procedures, tools, governance and guidelines, as well as generating revenue and costs synergies
Must have:
- Excellent educational background, preferably in the fields of business management
- At least 5 years' experience working in Insurance business preferably in strategy/ finance areas
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills to solve complex problems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Italian
- MBA degree or other internationally recognized post graduate degree

- Strong attitude to team working, solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking
- Capacity to influence stakeholders using business acumen
