No Offer Description The study will involve the analysis of possible alterations present at the level of the endocytic and autophagic pathways, of endosomes, lysosomes and other organelles, of cytoskeletal and extracellular structures in pathological cellular models comparing them to controls. In particular, the morphology of cells, cytoskeleton and individual organelles will have to be evaluated together, for organelles, with their number, size and intracellular distribution using confocal microscopy. Furthermore, the expression of key proteins of these pathways will have to be evaluated by Western blot and immunofluorescence, looking also at the proper functioning of these processes and of the involved organelles with specific assays. Finally, the consequences of the detected alterations on cellular homeostasis, and, thus, on the overall cellular functioning, and cell viability will have to be measured.
