No Offer Description The research program will study the use of Machine Learning (ML) techniques for fault management in next-generation optical networks through the analysis of transmission quality parameters such as Optical Signal to Noise Ratio (OSNR) and Bit Error Rate (BER), with particular reference to multi-core optical networks.

The impact of these parameters on the ability to identify the source of network faults and the location of the fault will be studied.
