Subcontractor Quality Engineer

RINA is currently recruiting for a Subcontractor Quality Engineer to join its office in Roma within the Sustainability and Business Innovation Division.
MissionWe are looking for a highly skilled Quality Engineer to oversee and ensure compliance with Product Assurance (PA) standards for Propulsion systems in space projects. The role involves supplier management, quality assurance, and process improvement within the space/aerospace industry.
Key AccountabilitiesEnsure compliance with quality and project requirements throughout the product development cycle, from Design Reviews to qualification. Manage product verifications, audits, and testing, ensuring adherence to quality standards before delivery. Investigate and resolve non-conformities and escapes, conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions. Supervise and coordinate subcontractor quality representatives, ensuring smooth collaboration on PA matters. Support continuous improvement initiatives, including KPI tracking, process optimization, and lessons learned implementation. Conduct on-site visits at subcontractors' facilities to perform inspections, audits, and product acceptance reviews. EducationMaster's Degree in Engineering General
QualificationsDegree in Engineering.
Proven expertise in Quality Management or Engineering, ideally in space/aerospace (subcontractor management, propulsion, pyrotechnics, avionics).
Strong problem-solving skills, with experience in Non Conformance Report, Request for Waiver, and process deviation management.
Fluent in English (French is a plus).
Proficient in data-driven decision-making and KPI analysis.
Ability to travel within Europe as required.
