Role Summary**:

**Responsibilities

- Supervise the team of general engineering services to ensure accurate and expedient resolution to technical issues.

- Drive a culture of continual improvement within the team through both technological and personal improvements.

- Keep abreast of emerging market technologies and look for ways to improve and streamline department processes.

- Drive and participate in process improvements within the engineering department including but not limited to product design, bills of material, drawing throughput, corrective action request closure rates, and design and bills of material error rates.

**Requirements**:

- B. S.

in Mechanical Engineering

- Experience in coaching and mentoring engineers or other technical roles

- Setting expectations, evaluating progress, and providing constructive feedback and performance reviews

- Collaborative management style that encourages the flow of communication, removes obstacles, and promotes problem-solving and teamwork

- Effective oral and written communication skills

- Must have a sense of urgency to plan and execute project deliverables to meet project milestones

- Metrics and results driven

**Preferred Experience / Skills**:

- 10+ years of Engineering experience

- Experience in a hands-on manufacturing environment

- Prior people management / supervision experience

- Rotodynamic knowledge as well Vibration analysis skills
