Supervisory Information Technology Specialist
Duties**:
- Conduct information requirements studies to ensure compliance with appropriate HQDA, NETCOM and 5th Signal Command information architecture.
- Supervise, direct, oversee, and coordinate the work of a staff of US, local nationals, and military employees performing a variety of duties in providing IT support to the community and supported units.
- Enforce configuration standards and advise commanders on configuration changes.
- Serve as the organization's technical expert and advisor concerning command-wide implementation and modification of new communications technologies.
- Support Regional Cyber Ceter - Europe (RCC-E) Information Dissemination Management/Common Services (IDM/CS) Branch in development and enforcement of organizational policy and procedures.

- You will be required to provide proof of U. S. Citizenship.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements as outlined in the DoD Instruction 1315. 19.
- This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance based on a Tier 5 background investigation with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- Required to sign a DA Form 5019-R, (Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified as Critical Under the Drug Abuse Testing Program) and must pass urinalysis testing, as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Required to maintain military driver's license.
- Must possess and maintain required IT technical/management level certifications (Security+, CISSP, CISM), as required, before gaining privileged access to any DOD system within six (6) months of encumbering the position.
- This position has been designated mission essential.
Employee may be required to remain on duty or report for duty during severe weather or other installation closings.
May be required to work overtime and other than normal duty hours.
- TDY may be required up to 15%
- Position has been designated Key.
This is a Federal position that shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the Agency or office to function effectively.

**Specialized and Other Experience**:One year of specialized experience which includes: Communicating system problems to technical personnel such as communications specialists, data managers etc; Providing technical or professional IT advice and recommendations to customers OR evaluating the impact of business needs or changes on current policies.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
- The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:
- (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: completing thorough and accurate work independently, even in the most difficult or stressful situations; occasionally reviewing work completed by others.
- (2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: resolving routine and non-routine problems, questions, or complaints; developing and maintaining strong, mutually supportive working relationships with customers; conducting evaluation of support to determine quality of services and customer satisfaction, and recommending procedural changes based on customer need or changes in policy and/or regulation.
