Supervisory It Specialist (Network)
Duties**:
- Serves as Supervisory IT Specialist (Network) and Operations Intelligence (OP INTEL) (G-2) Directorate Network Manager of U. S. Army Africa (USARAF).
- Responsible for all facets of operational automation data processing as it relates to networks, centers and deployed operations, and systems administration functions.
- Manage and maintains staff oversight for all classified networks.
- Evaluates systems requirements and allocates appropriate resources, both human and system, to meet functional intelligence requirements.
- Analyze user requirements and provide recommendation that address system and network requirements.
- Manage and supports SCIF systems, networks and Information Management requirements
- Leads the Branch in supporting development, testing and implementation of USARAF G2's tactical and strategic Intelligence Information Systems.
- Exercises technical and administrative supervision regarding professional, technical, and support.
- Plans and assigns work to be accomplished; sets priorities and deadlines; reviews work products; and accepts, amends, or rejects them.

- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on an SSBI with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- May be required to work weekends/holidays or on shifts in event of crisis or other operational tasking.
- TDY may constitute up to 15% of the time.
- Incumbent must sign a statement attesting to the understanding of CIPMS/DCIPS provisions as indicated in AR 690-13.
- Must sign a mobility agreement.
- Position is designated Key.
- As defined in DoD Directive (DoDD) 1200. 7, ? Screening the Ready Reserve, ?
a key position.
- Is a Federal position that shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the parent Federal Agency or office to function effectively
- Must submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450.
Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually, IAW DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011

Specialized experience is defined as experience in designing, implementing, operating, or maintaining Information Technology (IT) network services; and experience trouble-shooting, fault isolation, or resolution of Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), or communications architecture deficiencies.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12).
**For this position, individuals must also have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.
