Duties Utilize the Government Purchase Card Program (GPC) for common use item purchases, and special purchase within GPC limits as approved.
Manage accountable property in the DoD mandated property accounting system, Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS).
Control accountable property by periodically inspecting office and storage spaces, ensuring adequate controls are maintained by sub-custodians by conducting spot inventories of office and storage areas by matching serial numbers in the automated system.
Receive, open, and sort incoming mail and correspondence for District Office, and route or deliver to appropriate office or official.
Perform a combination of tasks concerned with the receipt, storage, issue, and replenishment of supplies and equipment, forms, publications, books, furniture, and items requiring special handling.
Prepare detailed reports and appropriate documentation on excess and unserviceable items, disposing of or transferring them by direction of the Accountable Officer.
Provide guidance on the practices, procedures, capabilities, and operations of the activity's data processing systems.
Verify the availability of funds, supply levels, emergency conditions, economic order quantities, and authorizations to submit orders for supplies.
Examine items received; note overages, shortages, or any damage incurred in shipping; and take action to resolve discrepancies.
Requirements Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.

Citizenship required.
Direct deposit of pay is required.
One trial or probationary period may be required.
Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation.
You will be required to sign a mobility agreement, be available for worldwide placement, and be willing to rotate to any DoDEA location.
Must be able to satisfy the requirements of the 26JUL12 DODI 1400. 25 V1230, DoD Civilian Personnel Management System: Employment in Foreign Areas and Employee Return Rights.
Individuals hired from the Continental United States (CONUS) and their family members (who are US citizens) are required to obtain Official Passports prior to departure to the overseas area.
Individuals assigned to Italy, England, or Korea, are required to obtain a visa to enter these countries.
A pre-placement medical examination is required.
