Responsibilities**:

- Provide a topographical survey in preparation for engineering works on site.

- Review with the engineering team that sufficient information is available in the correct format to set out the works / enable machine control construction in accordance with the programme, and to resolve any inconsistencies in the information provided, including feedback on any changes made.

- Facilitate setting out of the works in accordance with contract requirements before the work is programmed to start.

- Communicate with engineers, foremen, gangers, workforce and sub-contractors to ensure full understanding of information provided.

- Monitor movement of earthworks and structures as necessary.

- Ensure the effective flow of Survey information to the Survey Manager and the project teams.

- Attend site meetings as required.

**Requirements**:

- Rail surveying experience would be of benefit for this role.

- A minimun of 2-3 years of experience as a surveyor.

- Experience in preparing survey-related Method Statements and Risk Assessments.

- Expert knowledge of total stations, levels and GNSS receivers.

- Expert in stakeout points on site, data collection and establishment of polygonal coordination systems.

- Proficient in using survey software like Trimble or Leyca.

- Good English communication (both written and verbal) skills.

- Solid report writing and compilation skills.
