RINA is currently recruiting for a Sustainability and Carbon Reduction Project Manager to join its office in Genoa (Italy) within the ESG & Sustainability Division.
Mission As a Sustainability Project Manager, you will work with more experienced project managers, technical experts, and business developers to manage the entire project lifecycle.
You will coordinate the elaboration of proposals and the delivery of consulting projects in the sustainability field for private clients, public institutions, and international donors, develop project plans, and ensure the timely completion of deliverables within the defined scope, deadlines, and budget.
This role will provide you with hands-on experience in obtaining and managing the resources required to achieve project objectives in the most efficient and effective way.
Your primary focus will be on projects related to sustainability, climate change, and decarbonization.
Key Accountabilities Project Management in the Sustainability field: Coordination of the elaboration of proposals for private clients, public institutions, and international donors.
Development of project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget.
Collaborate with senior project managers, technical experts, and business developers to define project objectives and deliverables.
Sustainability Consulting Services: Collaborating with technical experts to understand and incorporate consulting services into project plans.
Ensuring that consulting services are accurate and align with project requirements.
Coordination: Constant follow-up on project activities and ensure that tasks are completed on time.
Liaise with various internal stakeholders.
Assist in facilitating communication between different teams and departments.
Budget Management: Support the development of project budgets and assist with monitoring expenses.
Learn how to control project costs and contribute to reporting on budget variances.
Assist in suggesting improvements when budget discrepancies arise.
Risk Management: Observe and help identify potential risks and issues that may affect project delivery.
Assist in developing risk mitigation strategies.
Help track project risks and report on them to senior management.
Quality Assurance: Work with the project team to ensure that deliverables meet quality standards.
Learn how to implement and monitor quality assurance processes.
Participate in project reviews and audits.
Documentation: Maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, progress reports, and project schedules.
Help prepare and review project proposals, contracts, and other relevant documents.
Ensure that all project documentation is organized and accessible.
Reporting: Generate regular project status reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Provide updates on project milestones, risks, and issues during team meetings.
Education Master's Degree in Energy Engineering or Environmental Engineering
Qualifications 2-3 years of previous work experience in the sustainability field, developed in a consulting firm or in the sustainability department of a private company or public institution.
Sustainability-Related Knowledge: Good understanding of one or more of the following topics: GHG emissions accounting and reduction, climate change, ESG assessments.
Basic understanding of engineering concepts and calculations.
Ensure accurate incorporation of engineering calculations into project plans.
Ability to collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including technical experts, clients, and partners.
Software Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with project management tools and software is a plus.
Language Skills: Fluent in Italian, enabling effective involvement in projects with local clients.
Good knowledge (C1) of English.
An upper intermediate level (B2 or higher) in another language (e. g. , French, Spanish, Arabic) is a plus.
