Sustainability Data Reporting Internship (Focus On Csrd Compliance)
Your Mission: We are seeking an enthusiastic and management-oriented intern to support our efforts in sustainability reporting, with a specific focus on compliance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
This position focuses on coordinating between departments for the management and understanding of sustainability indicators, placing emphasis on support and facilitation.
The individual will act as a point of reference for promoting an integrated view among various corporate departments and assisting in the implementation of the new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sustainability reporting frameworks, contributing directly to regulatory compliance and corporate responsibility initiatives.
What You'll Do: CSRD Reporting Support: Assist in preparing sustainability data and narratives for CSRD-aligned reports Ensure data collection and reporting processes meet CSRD requirements, including environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics Benchmark the company's reporting against industry best practices and CSRD guidelines Data Collection and Validation: Assist in restructuring the internal process for collecting and consulting KPIs on a dedicated software platform Support in the coordination of collection, cleaning and validation of qualitative and quantitative data related to key sustainability indicators (GRI/ESRS), helping the involved departments understand their meaning and implications Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather relevant data B Corp certification: Support in the analysis and implementation of the new B Corp standards, once they'll be published Support in managing continuous improvement projects aimed at B Corp certification, in collaboration with colleagues from international subsidiaries Collaborate in managing qualitative and quantitative data and documentation necessary for B Corp certification Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Support the creation of clear, accurate, and engaging sustainability reports for internal and external stakeholders, aligned with regulations and international standards Work with cross-functional teams to address data gaps and improve reporting processes Interface between departments facilitating communication among various teams by explaining the meaning of sustainability indicators and promoting a shared understanding of standards (GRI, ESRS) Research and Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on CSRD requirements and other relevant sustainability regulations Propose enhancements to sustainability data collection and reporting systems Who You Are: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business Administration or Management with a Specialization in Sustainability, Industrial Engineering with a Focus on Sustainability or Corporate Management Systems, ESG Management or Green Economy, or related fields Excellent Italian and English proficiency, both written and spoken.
Other languages are much appreciated Familiarity with key sustainability frameworks (CSRD, GRI, ESRS) Knowledge of sustainability reporting standards (e. g. , GRI, ESRS, CDP) Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite Basic knowledge of program/project management and agile management Understanding of key sustainability concepts, materiality assessments, and ESG metrics Awareness of the B Corp certification is a strong advantage Strong aptitude for learning and using new platforms for data collection and management Strong organizational skills, including agenda management, project coordination with multiple stakeholders, and handling complex deadlines Communication skills, both written and verbal, time management, and a collaborative mindset.
