**Summary**:
The Role is responsible for assessing new and emerging Corporate Responsibility/Sustainability external stakeholder needs, including but not limited to emerging and new EMEA region sustainability legislation and customer or commercial requirements.
They will focus the company's compliance with existing and proposed global sustainability regulations, and support the business with sustainability information about products and services.
This role will be responsible for coordinating the company's response to CDP, EcoVadis, and other external sustainability ratings.
You will respond to customer inquiries, RFPs and tenders on environmental sustainability issues.
In addition, you will leverage the use of technology/digital innovation to ensure timely and accurate responses for external environmental sustainability reporting requirements and oversee the administration and execution of key product stewardship, packaging, and energy management requirements (REACH, WEEE, batteries, UKI level product stewardship, etc. ).
Essential to this role is to work well in a nimble collaborative environment with a bias for action.
This position is the opportunity for you to build collaborative partnerships and involve internal and external stakeholders to execute on the company's external sustainability commitments.
**What you will be doing
- Oversee the collection of all data points and systems needed to meet product stewardship reporting requirements on REACH, packaging, WEEE, batteries and other initiatives as required
- Oversee the reporting activities associated with the above across all EMEA countries where the requirement exists.
- Ensure all necessary reporting is taking place on time and in full by designated reporters
- Assists with the company's responses to CDP, EcoVadis, and other external sustainability reports
- Assists with collection of environmental data in the company's corporate responsibility report
- Lead on providing timely responses to customer tenders, RFPs, customer questions or other specific requests for environmental sustainability information.
- Work in partnership with multiple stakeholders across the company (Corporate Responsibility, Communications, Investor Relations, Legal, and others) to identify ongoing sustainability data needs and work to close gaps
- Follow, evaluate and implement approaches to address existing or emerging/new sustainability regulations (such as CSRD/CSDD), regulatory policy and industry practice; determine operational and business impacts and develop/ execute strategies to manage applicable/ relevant requirements.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and actively support the development and execution of EHS&S standards, programs and processes to drive functional vision, mission, policies and strategies.
- Facilitate for the development and deployment of enhanced sustainability strategies that will provide enable operations to achieve externally communicated sustainability goals
- Effectively collaborate across all stakeholder groups actively seeking feedback and input to enhance sustainability programs, and policies across Vantive.
- Communicate the business impacts of sustainability to all stakeholders; use influence to advance sustainability strategy.
