For our sustainability department based in Crespellano (Italy), we are looking for a
Manager Social Sustainability.
As Subject Matter Expert, your key responsibility will be to support the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to demonstrate leadership in human and labor rights.
You will be reporting to the Sr.
Manager Social Impact.
Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna (PM MTB) is Philip Morris International's Center of excellence, worldwide recognized for prototyping, mass-volume production, and employees' training on smoke-free products.
PM MTB employs more than 1000 employees and its production site of Crespellano is one of the most advanced manufacturing venues in Italy for technology innovation, competencies development and talent recognition
Your 'day to day'
- Provide strategic input to the Operations' Sustainability social pillar framework
- Provide strategic insights on topics related to human rights and specifically human rights due diligence framework.
This includes demonstrated experience on child labor and forced labor programs, living wage/income, responsible sourcing, supply chain management, and access to remedy initiatives.
- Stay abreast of global macro trends and relevant current and upcoming legislations in social sustainability and human rights and work on measures to strengthen current policies and
- Identify & develop pipeline of ideas and projects towards PMI's recognition as sustainability leader
- Develop toolkits and training materials for implementation of relevant projects and programs related to human rights
- Participate in internal and external stakeholder engagements (incl.
working groups, coalitions)
- Support the development / revisions of relevant Operations' Sustainability policies & guidelines
- Provide input for data management strategy (including data analytics) related to reporting needs on the social pillar
- Provide input for external reporting submissions, e. g.
integrated report, modern slavery statements as well as develop stand-alone relevant reports etc.
Who we're looking for:
- Master degree in social science, business management, or other related degree with a specialization in Social Sustainability and/or Human Rights
- 5 -7 years of practical experience in social related Sustainability Programs and/or human and labor rights in supply chains - preferably within FMCG
- Solid experience in responsible sourcing and supply chain management, preferably related to indirect materials and services (IM&S) or electronics.
- Solid knowledge and operational experience in human right due diligence systems, including on child labor remediation / elimination, living wage/income, women empowerment programs and access to remedy initiatives.
- Good knowledge in data analytics
- Proven experience in sustainability innovative technology
- English proficient; Italian proficient is a plus
