**The Role**: Sustainability Solutions Specialist (EMEA)
**The Team**: We have an exciting opportunity to join Sustainable1, the S&P Global team that promotes the sustainability solutions across data, analytics, reporting, indices, ratings, commodity benchmarking.
You will be responsible for sustainability solutions success in Spain, Italy and supporting the wider region.
You strive to be the thought leader for sustainability solutions and want to work with clients across Financial Institutions, particularly banking and investment management, plus corporates, academics, regulators, and exchanges.
You will be part of a very specialized, highly talented global team.
S&P Global provides industry leading solutions for Sustainability and Climate Change analysis.
The team aims to create powerful, positive societal change and help the world transition to a more sustainable, low carbon economy.
You are a self-starter with a desire to see the business grow and generate strong revenue growth.
**Responsibilities and Impact**:
Develop and implement a strategy to increase the adoption of S&P Global ESG/Climate solutions across the region.
Collaborate with various S&P Global divisions, including Market Intelligence, Index, Ratings, Commodity Insights, and Mobility, to provide excellent client service and drive growth in sustainability solutions.
Create and manage Strategic Account Sustainability Plans that highlight key opportunities from the evolving ESG/Climate landscape, client priorities, and S&P Global's portfolio of sustainability solutions.
Represent the business in client meetings, accurately identifying their needs, conveying our value proposition, and assisting with the integration of ESG/Climate data and research into their processes.
Support clients by answering technical questions about ESG/Climate data, tools, reports, and indices.
Organize and represent S&P Global Sustainable1 at events, webinars, and conferences to enhance the visibility of S&P Global's leading Sustainability solutions.
Educate internal teams and clients on the benefits of disclosing and integrating sustainability solutions into their processes, and address technical questions regarding ESG/Climate data, reports, sustainability indices, ratings, and energy transition solutions.
Collaborate with our marketing team to create and deliver regionally relevant thought leadership through white papers, event speaking engagements, and presentations.
Write proposals and prepare and plan presentations.
**What We're Looking For**:
**Basic Required Qualifications**:
7+ years of work experience preferred.
In-depth understanding of ESG and current local and global sustainability trends, industry developments, and regulations affecting Financial Institutions.
Technical expertise in ESG factors such as Carbon Emissions, Physical Risk, and ESG Scores.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in presenting to large groups and at public forums.
Ability to craft compelling and articulate proposals for innovative solutions.
Strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and persuasiveness.
Personable, with a passion for networking and meeting new people.
Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a positive "can do" attitude.
Sharp intellect, commercial insight, creative problem-solving skills, and an entrepreneurial attitude.
Driven by solution selling, strategic relationship building, and achieving commercial objectives.
Team player.
Fluent in written and spoken Spanish and / or Italian; proficiency in other local languages is a bonus.
**Additional Preferred Qualifications**:
Understanding of financial markets operations, with experience in banking or investment management.
Knowledge of how financial institutions evaluate and incorporate ESG and climate issues into decision-making, and familiarity with organizations like NGFS, PCAF, TCFD, and UNPRI.
Familiarity with concepts such as portfolio carbon foot printing and accounting across asset classes, ESG risk and opportunity analysis by investors, TCFD reporting, environmental data use for financial products (funds and indices), sustainability solutions for banking clients, and green bonds.
Experience working on or supporting a responsible investment/ESG or sustainability team.
Experience in speaking and presenting to large groups and executive audiences.
Willingness to travel to offsite meetings.
