Sustainability Specialist
We are looking for a Sustainability Specialist to join the Marelli Sustainability team , reporting directly to the Head of Sustainability.
This position is based at our office in Corbetta and/or Turin.
As a Sustainability Specialist your Responsibilities will be: Sustainability Reporting: Assist in the creation and development of the Marelli Holding's annual Sustainability Report with data collection, narrative and evidence for third-party verification Perform qualitative and quantitative checks and liaise with external partners for data sharing and creative design input.
Ensure transparent and organized document management to simplify third-party verification by external auditors.
Benchmark sustainability reports of other companies to contribute to the development discussions meaningfully.
Support the team in fulfilling the CDP questionnaire data collection, cross-referencing, JV questionnaire consolidation, and third-party verification support.
Aid the project manager in conducting gap analysis against reporting standards (e. g. , GRI, ESRS, CSRD, SASB).
Manage a Sustainability Platform that supports project management, collaborative work, and review management on sustainability material topics.
ESG Reporting and Ratings: Assist in completing annual EcoVadis questionnaires, UN Global Compact communication on progress, and other related ESG rating assessments.
Manage and update AQ Questionnaires, ensuring timely and accurate reporting that aligns with our sustainability commitments and customer expectations.
Evaluate the ESG performance of Joint Ventures, conducting thorough due diligence to identify environmental and social risks.
This supports our commitment to respect human rights and plays a critical role in our Scope 3 emissions calculations.
Develop and maintain updated a comprehensive roadmap to ensure compliance with all relevant EU regulations set until 2026, identifying the overlaps with customer requirements related to sustainability/ESG.
Keep abreast of ESG regulations at the corporate level and contribute to reporting and analysis tasks.
ESG Regulations: Contribute to Due Diligence processes, leveraging your expertise in regulatory standards and sustainability frameworks (GRI, CSRD, ISSB, SASB, EU Taxonomy, CBAM, CSDDD, and more) to ensure proactive compliance and risk mitigation.
Manage a Policy Screen Tool and develop quarterly reports on emerging and updated European and Universal Legislation related to sustainability and ESG topics, keeping Marelli at the forefront of regulatory compliance.
Ensure Interoperability between customer requirements, universal standards, and European legislation, particularly the newest CSRD, optimizing our Gap Analysis and ESG reporting What Qualifications you will bring: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or related field or Master's degree in economics, business management, or engineering with orientation on sustainability topics (e. g.
technical knowledge, projects and/or studies on ESG topics).
At least 2/3 years' experience in similar roles within international companies.
Fluent English level, additional language is a plus.
Proficiency in Office tools (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Power BI).
Proven experience in sustainability reporting, ESG ratings, and environmental compliance.
Familiarity with international sustainability and ESG reporting standards (GRI, ESRS, CSRD, SASB) and compliance requirements.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders effectively.
Strong analytical skills, with a keen eye for both qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners.
Proficiency in document management and reporting tools.
Ability to understand quickly the requirements, whilst working under pressure to tight deadlines with an analytical and organized approach to work Strong communicator with the ability to strategically interface with and influence key stakeholders Analytical, organized, and focused on details and ability to identify trends and gaps Excellent project management and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Global mindset and willingness to navigate in matrix organizations Interest to learn key sustainability metrics mainly related to climate change and circular economy Other skills that we would welcome: Previous experience working with EcoVadis, CDP, and UN Global Compact reporting frameworks.
