Achieve your ambitions – join us at JLL!Role PurposeTo become a member of our new PDS Sustainability team in Milan (Italy) which specialises in the analysis and development of Net Zero Carbon (NZC) buildings and property portfolios. While the NZC building market is embryonic, we are gathering the best talent in the industry to create the leading NZC design team so that, together with other JLL business lines, we can provide our clients with the right strategic advice, design, construction and post construction monitoring and verification for NZC building solutions. We are building up a diverse team of engineers and sustainability professionals, which enables us to guide our clients through all sustainability requirements for projects, combining NZC with equally critical sustainability criteria, maximising opportunities to deliver best-in-class sustainable developments.

What This Job InvolvesReviewing existing buildings from site surveys, as built information, EPCs, energy data and quantify a building's key energy performance factorsDeveloping detailed thermal and daylight energy models (using dynamic simulation tools such as Energy+, IES VE, etc) to define the building's system (i. e.
building installations) and architectural requirements (App.
G ASHRAE 90. 1:2010)Developing CREEM decarbonization scenarios based on energy models results and energy dataUnderstanding a building's engineering and building fabric factors to determine an efficient NZC building design and renovation strategyWorking with our in-house cost management team to evaluate CAPEX of NZC design solutionsDeveloping ESG Due Diligence including analysis of energy systems and energy performanceA good understanding of building and RES regulations in Italy and in EUFamiliarity with development processes for renewable energy projects, including system dimensioningUnderstanding of battery storage projects and grid connection, and potential for integrating these with renewable energy projects to Positive Energy Districts, Energy CommunitiesUnderstanding of carbon offsetting strategies and Power Purchase AgreementsWhat This Job May Involve, which is a plus from your sideUndertaking whole life carbon assessmentsUnderstanding of indoor environmental quality comfort metrics for occupiersExperience of undertaking financial / commercial appraisals of proposed energy projectsCombining NZC advice with broader sustainability advice on LEED, BREEAM, WELL, protocolsWorking with colleagues to help shape comprehensive energy strategies, and sustainability offersSound like you?
