System Administrator
Join to apply for the System Administrator role at NETtoWORK As an Infrastructure and Service Advisor (System Administrator) , you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the company's IT infrastructure.
Your main responsibilities will include managing servers, operating systems, and ensuring the stability, performance, and security of the IT environment.
You will also provide support for system-related issues, implement new solutions, and work closely with other IT teams to enhance infrastructure capabilities.
Key Responsibilities: Server and System Management: Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers (Windows and Linux), ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
Infrastructure Support: Provide technical support for system administration tasks such as user management, permissions, and software deployment.
Active Directory and Network Services: Administer Active Directory (also Microsoft Azure AD) , including user accounts, group policies, DNS, and DHCP, ensuring efficient directory and network services.
System Security: Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, patch management, and system monitoring, to safeguard the IT infrastructure.
Backup and Disaster Recovery: Configure and manage backup systems to ensure data integrity and availability, as well as develop and test disaster recovery plans.
Virtualization: Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V , maintaining virtual environments and optimizing resource allocation.
System Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor system performance and capacity, proactively identifying potential issues and optimizing resources for improved efficiency.
Documentation and Procedures: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Collaboration with IT Teams: Work closely with network, security, and development teams to ensure system integration and support the implementation of new infrastructure projects.
Required Skills: Operating Systems: Strong knowledge and experience in administering Windows Server and Linux systems, including configuration, patching, and troubleshooting.
Virtualization: Proficiency in virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar platforms.
Active Directory and Network Services: Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
System Security: Understanding of best practices in system security, including patch management, antivirus solutions, firewalls, and auditing.
Backup and Disaster Recovery: Experience with backup and recovery solutions (e. g. , Veeam, Commvault) and the development of disaster recovery plans.
Scripting and Automation: Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash to automate administrative tasks and streamline processes.
Networking Fundamentals: Basic understanding of networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls) and how they interact with system administration.
Requirements: Minimum of (3/5) years of experience in system administration, managing enterprise IT environments.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server or Azure Administrator Associate.
Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC) or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or other virtualization certifications.
