ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe candidate will be integrated into a team of engineers, network engineers, and IT engineers, working on several projects focused on engineering Ground Segments for satellite communication systems. The activity includes:Installation and configuration of virtualization hypervisor to build private and public cloud infrastructure. Installation and configuration of operating systems on physical hardware and virtual machines. Installation and configuration of orchestrators to build microservices infrastructure. Installation and configuration of application COTS for network monitoring, cybersecurity, and system management. The main tasks and responsibilities are:Contribute to design, development, implementation, deployment, and testing of private and public cloud infrastructure, physical hardware, virtual machines, and microservices infrastructure. Contribute to defining System, Network, and Cyber Security processes, configurations, and procedures. Maintain and analyze the system infrastructures. Produce documentation such as project slides, test procedures, analysis reports, hardware/software design, user manuals, installation manuals, and validation plans. QUALIFICATIONSMaster's degree in computer engineering, telecommunication engineering, or similar. Google IT Support Professional Certificate. Experience in automating deployment through Ansible. Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration. 2+ years of experience preferred in computer and information technologies. REQUIREMENTSTechnical requirement management. Knowledge of data communications systems. Knowledge of information security management standards and best practices. Knowledge of bash and tcsh scripting. Good knowledge of Linux (postfix, ssh, dns, nis, dhcp, radius, etc.

). Knowledge of databases (SQL, Oracle ZFS Storage, and StorageTek Tape Library). Good knowledge of Windows and macOS. Good knowledge of virtual environments (VMWare VCenter, KVM, Hyper-V). Good knowledge of orchestrators and microservices environments with containers. Knowledge of networking and management of network equipment (switches, routers, etc.

). Knowledge of the principles of configuring and using firewalls, particularly Fortinet products. Knowledge of the principles of using Docker technology and containerization. Knowledge of using and configuring Kubernetes. Knowledge of security technologies and products (Log Management, endpoint security tools, Network and Security Management Tools). Availability to travel outside the place of work for meetings and installations (Italy and Abroad). Communication and negotiation skills.
