CANDIDATES THAT WOULD IMPRESS US?

PROFILE:

- You have a Master's degree from an Engineering University and you have a great experience in coaching

- You have at least +10Y experience in space-related system engineering projects, leading activities on various fields of engineering (Sys, SW, HW, IVV) in a management or a technical position

- You want to oversee systems-related activities and be plunged into a challenging environment

- You want to teach innovative methods and help the team to evaluate the pros and cons of solution options prior to system development

- You are an active listener and an effective communicator (especially in case of conflict)

- You are recognized as a team-player and enjoy collaborative work

- You have a good technological culture

- You are convincing, persuasive, resourceful and structured

- You are dynamic and meticulous, enthusiastic, open-minded and pragmatic

- You have good problem-solving skills, critical thinking and decision making ability

- You are a strong leader and you lead with integrity

- You embrace diversity

- You are not averse to occasional travels

- You are fluent in English

COMPETENCIES:

- You have in-depth knowledge in Agile practices, Lean methodologies, project management and associated tools

- You have substantial knowledge of System Engineering and associated processes, methods and tools:

- You have the ability to adopt a holistic approach to analyze a system, focusing on the way that a system's constituent parts interrelate and how systems work over time and within the context of larger systems

- You understand the importance of requirements definition through a process using performance analysis, trade studies, constraint evaluation and cost/benefit analysis

- You are able to adopt a Model Based Systems Engineering and see how it serves as a basis for architecture

- You are familiar with scheduling practices that reduce the time to deliver and speed-up the solution maturity through optimized IVVQ phases (Integration/Verification/Validation/Qualification)

- You have knowledge of configuration management process

- You have notions of RAMT (Reliability/Maintainability/Availability/Testability) and associated norms & standards

- You have notions of Product Line Engineering

- You are very familiar with System Architecting requirements and associated notions, methods & processes:

- Architecture Vision, Operational Architecture, System Architecture, Technical Architecture, Opportunities & Solutions, Migration Planning, Implementation Governance, Architecture Change Management

- You have the ability to share with people from different jobs and backgrounds

- You have knowledge in hardware & software development and digital transformation

- You are able to fast adapt and move forward in changing environments

NICE TO HAVE:

- Experience of working in a multi-discipline team environment

- Mastery of digital collaborative tools (Klaxoon, Teams, . . . );

LIFE AS A THALES SYSTEM ENGINEERING COACHING ROLE

As a System Engineering Coaching Role within Thales, you will:

- Foster innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement within a new culture

- Establish the dialogue between stakeholders, so that they are able to select proper methods and practices

- Communicate the progress of tasks and technical risks to stakeholders

- Assist managers in building technical training plans in order to increase teams' integration skills

- Prepare and facilitate team retrospectives, co-construction workshops and various agile events to anchor best facilitation practices

- Coach and mentor system engineering teams

- Support entities to embody and promote the Sagittarius transformation

- Contribute to the dissemination of best practices and the implementation of operational models in order to promote the empowerment of teams while maximizing the efficiency of systems-related projects

- Lead the harmonization of Engineering standards across TAS, providing Process, Methods and Tools support across engineering entities

- Support organizations, teams and individuals to become more autonomous and to gain greater flexibility in order to deliver a quality product to end users

- Support and validate the Engineering Performance Plan definition of domain Engineering entities in line with TAS JV drivers, monitoring of the progress

- Trust and empower, encourage a culture of feedback
