We are looking for System Engineers (with experience in the visibility of the full lifecycle of a project) to work at our client's premises in Rome, Italy.

Specifically, the profiles we are looking for are:

- Ground Segment System Engineer (on IRIDE and NAOS projects)

- PDGS System Engineer (on the IRIDE programme)

**About the client and location**:

- This position is open to protected categories under Italian Law 68/99 ("Rules for the right to work of disabled people"). _

**Tasks and Activities**:

The scope of work will include:

- Managing user requirement and converting them into technical and software specifications.

- Supporting the setup and management of software design and development processes in coordination with partners and third parties.

- Reviewing technical proposals and documentation.

- Overseeing the software development process, continuously liaising with the various developing teams and coordinating activities.

- Examining the IVV (Integration, Verification and Validation) plans and procedures, supervising the integration and testing activities and reviewing the test reports.

- Participating in software demonstration sessions, supporting user review collection and the consequent evolution of the requirements.

- Being responsible for configuration and documentation management and control.

**Skills and Experience**:

The following skills and experience are mandatory:

- University degree or equivalent qualification in a technical discipline, preferably in Earth Observation or Computer Science.

- At least four to five years of working experience in the context of complex and critical systems implementation, integration and deployment, possibly in cloud environments.

- Experience with requirement management.

- Experience in supporting IVV activities.

- Experience with configuration management.

- Proactiveness, good communication skills, team player.

- Result-oriented.

- Capacity to work autonomously.

- Ability to complete complex tasks with mínimal guidance and to work and cooperate with others.

- Ability to take ownership and manage end-to-end problems.

- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:

- Knowledge of OGC standards

- Knowledge of EO data exploitation platform

- Experience/knowledge on service/operations best practices (ITIL), management and processes.
