System Ivvq Engineer

Gorgonzola hosts the Navigations Air Systems (NAS) domain.
The activity of the NAS domain includes avionics, navigation, and radar systems for civil air traffic and technologies supporting the activities of civilian and military pilots, ATC controllers, and technicians of several airlines, air traffic control agencies, and Air Force around the world.
Italy is the Group's Competence center for the design, production, and delivery of Navigation Aids products and Competence Centre for the delivery of non-Radar Surveillance Products.
We are currently looking for a System IVVQ engineer to join Thales Land and Air Systems in its NAS Center of Competence Gorgonzola (near Milan).
As a System IVVQ engineer within Thales, you will be involved with Integration, Verification, Validation, and Qualification of NAVAIDS products (mainly in the domains of Radio Frequency engineering and Embedded Systems) by: Supporting the IVVQ Manager in the definition of IVVQ strategy and generation of associated estimates and schedule.
Proposing IVVQ testing methods, acceptance criteria, and managing their implementation.
Communicating design non-compliances to the team and wider internal/external stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
Preparing System IVVQ activities.
Executing IVVQ activities either on-site at Gorgonzola or at the customer's premises to deliver evidence of compliance with requirements.
Analyzing test results and/or data and producing technical reports.
Highlighting any technical risk associated with the IVVQ phase to the Engineering Delivery Manager (EDM) and Product Design Authority (PDA), proposing suitable actions to mitigate and manage IVVQ risks.
Liaising with the PDA and Architect to ensure that IVVQ is in line with the design and compliant with all requirements.
Supporting capitalization activities for the department as well as lessons learned.
Ensuring unambiguous testability of requirements.
Profile: You graduated from an Engineering School with a Master's degree and have 2 or more years' experience in IVVQ.
You have a good understanding of IVVQ strategies and philosophies.
You have experience in test activities, formal verification, or validation activities.
You are an effective team player who can interface at all levels across the organization.
You can operate successfully in a multi-cultural environment, working effectively with teams distributed across different sites/countries.
You possess strong organizational and team working skills.
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, good negotiation skills, and a recognized capacity to influence all types of stakeholders.
You enjoy thinking outside the box and being creative.
Competencies: Knowledge of lab equipment for electronics and RF engineering such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers.
Knowledge of scripting languages or other testing frameworks for test automation.
Knowledge of System Engineering V-model.
English and Italian fluency is a must; ability to speak additional languages such as French is a plus.
Nice to have: A basic knowledge of Navaids equipment such as ILS, VOR, TACAN, DME and in the technical field of air navigation services and on the various regulations/standards such as EN, ICAO or specific local standards.
Knowledge of Aerospace System/Software/Hardware quality assurance standards: SAE ARP4754, EUROCAE ED-109A (RTCA DO-278A), EUROCAE ED-80 (RTCA DO-254), EUROCAE ED-153.
Proficiency in the use of issue tracking software (e. g.
Jira).
Proficiency in the use of requirements and tests management tools.
