SUMMARY NUSO has an opening for a full time System Engineer. In this role you will be responsible for maintenance and implementation of new systems for a variety of voice applications. Assess security risks, design and implement upgrade paths for existing platforms, and evaluate existing platforms and their upgrade schedules. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Installs, tests, and maintains enterprise / carrier grade platforms. Proficiency in the full range of activities, including interpreting drawings and completing network modifications and maintenance. Responds to emergency events of a system failure. Uses a personal computer to make software changes and patches. Monitors the system alerts and provides solutions. Proactively assesses overall system health. Performs a variety of tasks under general supervision; a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Reports to Department head, Voice platforms. Be available in case of emergency after hours issues. Regularly monitor e-mail during and after business hours. Education / Training Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent and 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred. Strong proven knowledge of: Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Microsoft Domain Controller Cloud computing (VmWare, KVM) Networking (LAN, WAN, routing) Experience 4-6 years of technical experience in enterprise grade network administration.
