Job Description Summary**: The Systems Engineering Leader will drive the whole KUH-2 NPI Program NPI execution phases, through requirements definition, preliminary and detailed design, testing, field learning incorporation, and certification by leading a team of engineers responsible for the engineering objectives at module level.

He/she tracks program and executes corrective actions to meet cost, schedule, and technical objectives, he/she manages engineering program risks.

The position requires accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives.

KUH-2 NPI program is aimed to develop and certify a new Rotor Drive System to upgrade an Heavy Helicopter of Korean Aerospace Industries.

The Rotor Drive System NPI program includes design, development, certification of the complete system which includes Main Gearbox (MGB), Tail Gearbox (TGB) and relevant Tail Rotor Mast, Intermediate Gearbox (IGB), Tail Rotor Drive System (TRDS), Engine-MGB Link System (ISS), Main Rotor Mast (MRM), and development of a new Power Rig.

The MGB Module includes a fully dedicated Cooling sub-system, the Indicating and Sensing sub-systems, two AGB LH/RH sub-modules and a Two Stage Epicyclic sub-module).

**Essential Responsibilities

- Ensure fulfillment of Customer Technical Requirements and contractual Statement of Work engineering wise; with his team of System Engineers she/he captures and understands product system requirements and flow down system requirements to module and components definition as well as technology maturation needs

- Develop and execute strategy to meet the overall objectives of the KUH-2 Program driving key deliverables and milestones.

Manage the team of System Engineers assigned to KUH-2 products to create a plan and identify resource to complete all Design Phases and Program Gates in line with the NPI process achieving all KPIs goals (Non Recurring development Cost, Milestone On time delivery).

Define and manage the annual budget, negotiate resource with all departments and create milestone plan and KPI to monitor the progress.

Produce reports to the leadership team

- Develops and maintains trusted relationships with Customer through on-going dialogue and effective technical communication.

Collaborates with Customer, Regulatory Agencies, and partners to establish the best technical solutions contributing to the airframer system level integration

- Drives validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system level testing.

Drive and Coordinate Development Prototypes Build and relevant Test Activities; identify the overall product configuration.

- Partner with other Company Functions involved in KUH-2 Development and Certification by providing technical documentation in accordance to Company Policies and Procedures and consulting service; ensure a rigorous process is followed in the execution of Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action of product and process issues

- Manage engineering program risks and contribute in feeding the program risk register and execute risk mitigation plans accordingly

- Define, coordinate and lead work packages assigned to the Customer Team based at our premises to exploit the engineering workshare in line with contractual requirements (SOW) and deliverables

- Lead and coordinate the KUH-2 system engineering team providing technical leadership, teaching, consulting, and mentoring.

Growth and develop direct reports to support current and future products.

Promote professional growth through timely performance feedback, mentoring, coaching.

Release the performance appraisals and participate in salary planning.

Works to build consensus developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.

Provide leadership for unyielding compliance and integrity; focus on protection of Intellectual Property (IP)

**Qualifications/Requirements

- Master's degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited university

- Experience in Mechanical Design of complex products and gearbox systems technologies.

Mechanical design knowledge in terms of both components and system design.

Knowledge of gearbox systems technical requirements and certification.

- Experience in Product Development process (New Product Introduction) and relevant flow of activities within the organization.

Significant experience in systems engineering or NPI project management.

- Clear thinking and diligent approach, System thinking mindset.

Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems and to lead programs / projects

- English and Italian language solid knowledge, both written and oral

- Good interpersonal and communication skills

- Capability to work in multicultural environment.

Preferable previous international experience

- Work Visa, according to local regulation, is required
