Our client, an important leading Company in its own business, is currently looking for a:Tax ManagerThe resource will report to the Group CFO. Areas of responsibility: • Managing and reviewing direct tax compliance for the Group legal entities with the coordination, if necessary, of the external service provider • Monitoring and coordinating the VAT/Intrastat compliance function for the group's operations • Coordinating tax audits.

This may also require working directly with tax inspectors from the taxing authorities in the various European countries • Involvement in (annual) tax reporting for ITA GAAP and IFRS purposes • Advising internal and external stakeholders on all kinds of tax and transfer pricing matters • Regular advice on cross border VAT/Intrastat issues to the various local entities.

This also involves frequent communications with senior leaders about these issues • Focus on and dealing with other (new) indirect taxes and assessing the impacts and associated compliance • Regular involvement in M&A related projects.

This includes providing advice on all kinds of tax aspects of (internal) reorganizations • Coordinating the activities for obtaining grants and subsidies in the various European countriesRequirements: • Degree in Economics or equivalent • 10+ years of professional experience in consulting firms specializing in tax matters and/or in well-structured companies of international relevance • Good knowledge of tax matters related to direct and indirect taxes • Management of tax issues related to extraordinary corporate transactions • Excellent communication skills • Good command of the English languageLocation: Milan (hybrid)
